Vietnam Looking To Widen Tourism Horizon
Vietnam has allotted a staggering US $42.5 billion across 10 years duration in order to build up Vietnam tourism infrastructure, services and the like.
As per the plan, Vietnam travel authorities have also decided to target India as a potential source of tourists to Vietnam. The plan has as its aim raising Vietnam's domestic tourists from 28 million last year to 48 million and foreign visitors from around 5 to 10 million.
Developing new products for the tourism department of Vietnam seems to be the major challenge, since up until now, Vietnam has depended heavily on what it has been endowed with naturally, which would be beaches, islands and the like.
