Vietnam Tourism Turns Towards Seas, Islands

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has come up with a scheme that focuses on sea and island tourism to develop the Vietnam tourism industry within the next ten years. Various travel agencies have responded with a promise to design more sea and island tours that will aid in attracting both national and international Vietnam travel enthusiasts. The Head of the Institute for Tourism Development Research, Dr. Ha Van Sieu feels that the spin-off from sea and island development plan will create many sea-related products like water sports and resorts. Vietnam travel could become big, especially since a lot of tourists are now bored of the more famous beach destinations in the Mediterranean and Caribbean; new beach attractions could boost Vietnam tourism in quite a positive manner.
